Detection, Sensors and Systems Technology (DSST) Team
The
Detection, Sensors and Systems Technology (DSST)
Team develops technologies and systems for detecting environmental
threats and sensing environmental conditions in harsh environments,
such as that found in harbors, estuaries, and open oceans.
The team is composed of a diverse group of highly trained
scientists and engineers including subject matter experts
(SME) in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, engineering,
oceanography, computer science and modeling, and environmental
science.
We apply our expertise and technologies to support
the Navy within the FORCEnet framework. Our approach provides
the Navy with a valid and defensible scientific basis for
decision-making and critical ability to adapt to a changing
operational environment.
Team focus areas include:
- Physical Sensors
- Chemical Sensors
- Biological Sensors
- Integrated Platforms
- Fielding & Validation
- Real-time Detection and Monitoring
- Networking, Visualization, GIS
